About Stratgrownew
Stratgrownew was founded by a small team of TF2 veterans who spent years trading on forums, Discord servers, and third-party sites that were clunky, slow, or genuinely unsafe. We knew the community deserved something purpose-built rather than another generic marketplace with a TF2 skin coat of paint on top. Development began in 2022 with a single priority: make the trading process transparent and secure from end to end. Our platform launched in closed beta in early 2023 with a few hundred active traders and grew organically as word spread through the community. Today, Stratgrownew hosts tens of thousands of active listings every day and processes a significant volume of item exchanges each month. We integrate directly with Steam's official API so inventory data is always accurate and trades are never based on stale snapshots. Our pricing engine was built from scratch using real completed-trade data rather than speculative ask prices, which means the numbers you see actually reflect what people pay. The team behind Stratgrownew remains small and focused — we are not chasing venture capital or pivoting to other games. TF2 has one of the most passionate and long-lived trading communities in gaming, and we intend to serve it for the long haul. Every feature we ship is informed by direct feedback from active users on our community Discord, and we publish a public roadmap so the community can see exactly what we are working on next.
